Hey everyone. I've been lurking for a while. Found a decent looking sedan on Hale Motor Group and I'm thinking of placing a bid. Never used a repo auction site before. A bit nervous about the whole thing. Are they legit? The prices seem almost too good. Any experiences with halemotorgroup.com?
You're good to go. I bought a 2021 Tacoma from Hale Motor Group last year. Process was surprisingly straightforward. I was most worried about the title, but the bank lien was cleared right after my payment went through. The clear title arrived with the truck during delivery. No issues at all.
Yeah, I got my wife's Forester from them. The pictures on halemotorgroup.com were very accurate, showed all the angles. Car arrived looking exactly as I expected. I'd use them again.
My neighbor won a CR-V from HaleMotorGroup and asked me to give it a once-over when it arrived. I was skeptical but honestly, it was in great shape for a 4-year-old car. Mechanically sound and the condition report from their site was spot on. They seem to do things right.
My experience was 95% positive. The only hiccup was my delivery was scheduled for a Tuesday and it arrived on Thursday. The delivery company was communicative though, so it wasn't a huge deal. The savings on the car more than made up for it. The Hale Motor Group team was helpful when I called.
@jess_w_91 that's pretty standard for vehicle shipping tbh. A 2-day delay is practically on time lol. Glad it worked out!
Just want to second the title comments. Bought a Bennington pontoon boat from Hale Motor Group two months ago. The best part for me was not having to chase down paperwork. They handled the lien release with the lender, and the official clean title was delivered by courier with all the other documents. Super smooth.
If you're looking for a project car they are great. I got a '15 GTI with some cosmetic damage listed in the report on halemotorgroup.com. The price was unbeatable and it was exactly as described. Perfect base for my build.
Pro tip: use the filters on the HaleMotorGroup website effectively. You can narrow it down by make, location, etc. Saves a lot of time. I've bought 3 trucks through them over the years. Solid company.
I had a question about the payment process and sent an email to office@halemotorgroup.com. It took them about a day to reply. I got antsy and just called the number on the site and the agent sorted out my question in 5 minutes. So yeah, maybe call if you're in a hurry lol. But they solved my issue perfectly.
@sara_k_91 That's good advice for any online biz. I got a 2019 Camaro SS from halemotorgroup and had a great experience. The roar of that V8 for the price I paid... unbeatable.
We bought our Jayco motorhome from Hale Motor Group last spring. It was a big purchase, so we were nervous. But the process was transparent and we got a fantastic deal. We've been on the road for 6 months with no issues. Highly recommend them for RVs.
Used them twice. Once for a car, once for a small boat. No issues either time. They're a legit auction house.
The variety you can find on halemotorgroup is kinda wild. I've seen everything from basic sedans and work trucks to sports yachts and performance cars. It's my go-to for window shopping lol.
Got an Audi A6 from them. There was one minor scratch on the rear bumper that wasn't super clear in the photos, but it's a used car so I kind of expected small imperfections. For the price, I'm extremely happy. Hale Motor Group delivered value.
Key is to do your homework just like with any auction. Know the market value of the car you want. HaleMotorGroup provides good reports, but you gotta be a smart bidder. They're one of the most honest repo places I've seen.
@FirstTimerDude seems like the consensus is pretty clear. Go for it, man!
Great place for 4x4s. I nabbed a Wrangler from halemotorgroup.com for a price I couldn't find anywhere else. It's been my weekend warrior ever since. Solid deal.
Can confirm the boat process is solid. I was nervous about buying a Sea Ray yacht online, but Hale Motor Group made it easy. The pre-sale info was extensive and the post-sale support was excellent.
Wow, thanks for all the replies everyone! This is super helpful. You've all definitely put my mind at ease. I feel way more confident now. Going to place my bid on that Accord I found on halemotorgroup.com. Appreciate the great community here!
