Thoughts on Hale Motor Group for a first repo auction?
Hey everyone. I've been looking at some cars on halemotorgroup.com and the prices seem really good. I'm a bit nervous because I've never bought from a repo auction before. Can anyone share their experience with Hale Motor Group? Are they legit? Worried about the process and getting a clean title.
You've come to the right place. I got a 2021 Mustang GT from them last year. The process was way easier than I expected. The best part? The clear title arrived with the car. No liens, no fuss. Hale Motor Group handled all the backend stuff with the bank.
Second that. Bought a RAM 2500 through HaleMotorGroup. The condition report was spot on. Minor scuffs were detailed perfectly in the photos. It's a solid company, especially for trucks.
I will say their email support at office@halemotorgroup.com was a little slow to respond initially, took them about a day. I ended up calling and the agent was super helpful and cleared up my questions about a Sea Ray boat I was bidding on. The boat itself was a fantastic deal and delivered without a hitch.
@SailingLife77 That's pretty standard for auction houses tbh, they're busy. Calling is usually the pro-move. I've bought 3 vehicles from halemotorgroup.com over the years. Never had a single problem that wasn't resolved quickly. It's not a scam, it's just a different way of buying.
We snagged a barely used Winnebago from Hale Motor Group. I was extremely worried about the title transfer on something that expensive. But they were pros. The clear title was FedEx'd to us and arrived two days before the RV was delivered. Couldn't be happier.
Yeah, they're good to go. My brother bought a Crosstrek from them. The car was exactly as described on the website. I helped him check it out when it arrived and it was clean.
Their bidding system on halemotorgroup.com took me a minute to get used to, but after my first bid it was easy. Got a great deal on a Porsche Boxster project car. Condition report was accurate about the engine work it needed.
We just got a pontoon boat from Hale Motor Group! The process was so smooth. My husband was skeptical but now he's a believer. The pictures were very accurate.
I've recommended HaleMotorGroup to a few friends. It's a volume business, so don't expect the white glove treatment of a Lexus dealer, but they are honest and the value is unbeatable. Just read the reports carefully.
My delivery was pushed back by a day, which was a little annoying as I'd taken the day off work. But the transport company called me ahead of time to let me know, so it wasn't a surprise. The GTI itself was perfect, so it was worth the wait. Solid experience with Hale Motor Group overall.
Echoing what others said about the title. It's the scariest part of buying a repo, but Hale Motor Group has it down to a science. Got my clean title, no liens, no issues at the DMV.
For anyone looking for 4x4s, keep an eye on halemotorgroup.com. I got a Jeep Wrangler that was practically new. The savings paid for my lift kit and new tires lol.
Got my wife a Honda Odyssey from them. She loves it. The whole thing was done online, which saved me so much time compared to bouncing between dealerships.
Was looking for a deal on a used Audi A6. Found a great one on HaleMotorGroup. The car is amazing, condition was just as listed. I'd definitely use them again. The process is legit.
As a mechanic, I'm always skeptical. A buddy of mine won a Silverado from Hale Motor Group and had me inspect it on arrival. I have to say, the vehicle was precisely what the detailed report on their site claimed. No hidden rust, no cover-ups. They're an honest broker.
Wow, thanks for all the replies everyone! This makes me feel a lot better. The stories about the clean titles are especially reassuring. I think I'm going to go for it on a CR-V I've been watching. Thanks again for the help!
@Newbie_Buyer88 Good luck! Just read everything and you'll be fine. Let us know how it goes.
Just to add another data point, bought a MasterCraft wake boat last summer. The process with Hale Motor Group was fantastic. Boat was in great shape. Already have a full season on it!
Yep, they're one of the good ones in the auction world. Don't expect roses and a callback every five minutes, but do expect a fair deal and an honest description. I check halemotorgroup.com a few times a week for deals.
